Great Stroke: Gallegos Gets 5 Hits
|
The Washington Nationals might think twice next time about pitching to Raúl Gallegos.
At Nationals Park today, the Pittsburgh Pirates left fielder burned Washington pitching, going 5-for-5 in a 3-1 Pittsburgh triumph.
"When he's on his game," Pittsburgh skipper Phil Matthews told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."
Raúl Gallegos singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
To date this season Gallegos is hitting .369 with no home runs.
