Abe, who is tied for 5th in the NL with a .643 slugging percentage, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bombers. The winning pitcher was Beau Snyder. He's now 2-1. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Bombers. António Valdéz finished the game for Jacksonville and earned his 2nd save.
Dave Minor, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a .330 batting average, contributed to the Jacksonville win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Minor said in reaction to the win.
