Twins Deal Guardians 6-4 Defeat

The Minnesota Twins picked up a win at Target Field, knocking off the Cleveland Guardians, 6-4. On the mound for Minnesota was left-hander Andy Dawson, who played a pivotal role in the win. Dawson got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. Dawson allowed 3 runs. Giancarlo Scarabelli earned save number 11 this season.
Making an impact for the home team was Ánibal Santos. In the bottom of the second, the 32-year old left fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Twins.
"Andy just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Minnesota manager Michael Brewer.
Minnesota is now 16-9.
