Buffalo Catcher Sosa Will Retire
Saturday, May 17th , 2042
Buffalo Bisons catcher Juan Sosa will retire at the end of the season, according to reports out of team headquarters. Sosa, 37, has been considering retirement since last season sources say, though he has declined to speak publicly about retirement.

"Juan still likes baseball," one source said, "He wants to play, but he also knows he's getting up in age and the skills are not what he wants them to be. He says it's physically getting harder to go out there every day. That's why he's hanging up his spikes."

A check of his lifetime stats shows Sosa has a career .230 average with 1358 hits, 282 doubles, 11 triples, 262 home runs and 835 RBIs. To date he has scored 709 runs, walked 594 times and stolen 9 bases.
