Ahernfeld on Fire: Burns Worcester with 3 HR Saturday, May 24th , 2042 Louisville second baseman Caspar Ahernfeld blasted three homers today at McCoy Stadium in the 9-3 Bats victory over the Worcester Red Sox. For the game, Caspar Ahernfeld scored 4 times and knocked in 4 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Ahernfeld when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-3, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Ahernfeld told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Caspar Ahernfeld was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Bernie Taylor in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Bernie Taylor in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Eddie Gunn in the 9th.
