League Suspends Gómez and Truesdale for Brawl Saturday, September 14th , 2041 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Quad Cities-Peoria contest at Modern Woodmen Park. The River Bandits Cisco Gómez and the Chiefs Dave Truesdale will have to sit out 5 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. This year Gómez is hitting .306, produced 97 RBIs and 32 home runs, scored 88 times and gotten on base at a .402 rate. In 25 starts this season Truesdale has compiled a 12-6 record and a 3.41 ERA. |
