Whitecaps Advance to Round 2 Saturday, September 28th , 2041 The West Michigan Whitecaps put together a solid effort in ousting the Fort Wayne TinCaps to advance to the Round 2. West Michigan won the final game by a 5-0 count and captured the Round 1 4-2. Dani Santos led the way for West Michigan, turning in a strong performance on the mound. "I just tried to make pitches and get outs, I guess it worked out," said Santos, who was named series MVP. The MVP had a 0.56 ERA over 16 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record. The West Michigan Whitecaps don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers - Quad Cities River Bandits series.
