Ramos Parks 3 HR in the Seats Friday, May 16th , 2042 Fans are still buzzing after Kansas City whipped the Los Angeles (A) Angels by the score of 8-4 today at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. José Ramos smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the shortstop bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 7 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Ramos said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Ramos said. "Three is just... wow." José Ramos struck out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Juan Chávez in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Juan Chávez in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Stan Mitchell in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. So far this year in 41 games Ramos is hitting .192 with 9 home runs, 24 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
