New York (A) Whitewashes Boston, Duffy Winner Friday, October 2nd, 2026 In an outstanding mound performance, New York (A) Yankees starter Ron Duffy fired a complete-game shutout against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park today. Duffy was the key to the Yankees's 13-0 win. The 26-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 3 hits and 3 walks he allowed. "3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."
