Season Possibly Over for Juan Alba Thursday, May 8th, 2025 The Houston Astros were dealt a severe blow when Juan Alba was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Texas Rangers. After the game, the team trainer reported Alba might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 33-year-old closer out for the rest of the season with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Alba at least 7-8 months to heal. |
