Mets Hirayama Snags NL Player of the Week
Monday, June 11th, 2029
There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Hitoshi Hirayama, the New York (N) first baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the National League Player of the Week honors.
Hirayama piled up 8 hits in 14 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs while hitting .571.
During the current season Hirayama is batting at a .294 clip with 13 home runs and 34 RBIs. He has played in 61 games and scored 27 times.
