Tigers Send Snell to Baltimore Monday, July 14th, 2025 Both sides appear content with the trade finalized today that will send 32-year-old LHP Blake Snell, 27-year-old RHP Oscar Williams and a 3rd round draft pick to the Baltimore Orioles, while the Detroit Tigers will receive 19-year-old minor league LHP Leon Carter, 23-year-old minor league LHP Don Patterson, 21-year-old minor league RHP Leonardo Mireles and a 5th round draft pick. "This is a move that filled a few gaps in our roster," said Eric Oliver, Tigers general manager. For his part, the Orioles GM said the trade was made "in the best interest of our organization's future." BNN analysts reported that on paper the trade seemed to be a plus for both ball clubs. So far this season Snell has 7 wins and 6 losses and a 3.94 ERA. |
