San Francisco, Baltimore Swap Players Wednesday, November 26th, 2025 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the San Francisco Giants and Baltimore Orioles finalized a trade today. San Francisco will send 25-year-old RHP Jed Lawrence to the Orioles, while the Giants will receive 35-year-old RHP Ken Giles. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Giants general manager Bob McGugan said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. Since making his league debut Giles has made 753 appearances and nailed down 86 saves with 880 Ks in 746.2 innings. In his career he has a record of 52 wins and 35 losses and a 3.11 ERA. |
