The Vinson Emperors topped the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-2, in True Neutral Baseball League action at Yankee Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Vinson pitcher and Noordoostpolder, The Netherlands, native Tan Post. In 6.1 innings, Post surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. With the victory, the Emperors upped their record to 38-27.
Making an impact for the home team was Valentin Robin. In the bottom of the sixth, the 24-year old second baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 4-2, Emperors.
"I thought we played a nice game," Robin told the Vinson Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
