Montreal picked up a win at Olympic Stadium, bumping off the Toronto Polar Bears, 3-1. Pitcher Kenny Rogers was a major reason the Voyageurs emerged victorious. Lee Smith earned save number 35. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Montreal.

Larry Walker drove in one run for Montreal. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kelly Downs. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Rogers said.
