Rainiers Deal Griffins 9-3 Defeat
The Seattle Rainiers defeated the Detroit Griffins, 9-3, in United League action at Kiner Field. Brian Harper pulled his weight. The 12-year veteran was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Seattle occupies 6th place in the West Division at 19-20.

Harper contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Seattle in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Harper took a changeup from Scott Bankhead and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Rainiers to leap in front, 3-1.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Harper. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
