Los Angeles Downs Chicago as Youmans Tosses 1-0 Shutout Tuesday, October 16th , 1990 It wasn't easy but Floyd Youmans made it look that way. Youmans silenced the Chicago Colts, 1-0, in a Los Angeles Outlaws triumph at Comiskey Park today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Youmans said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 4 walks and 5 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." So far this season, Youmans has logged a 15-6 record with a 3.32 ERA.
