Suzuki Swats 3 Homers Thursday, May 20th , 2032 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Hartford Whalers today. Bonney Lake right fielder Mitsuharu Suzuki tripled up on the home runs to propel the Karma to the 5-4 win at Eversource Delivery Charge Field. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Hartford manager Jorge Padilla said. "Suzuki hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Suzuki collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Mitsuharu Suzuki struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mitch Craft in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ernesto MartÃnez in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Hideyoshi Watanabe in the 10th. Suzuki is currently batting .236 with 7 home runs and 23 RBIs. |
