John Wood to Miss 6-7 Weeks Thursday, July 8th , 2032 The Pantalones received bad news this morning. John Wood will miss 6-7 weeks due to elbow inflammation. He sustained the injury in the Pacifica-Hartford game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Wood sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." He has made 37 relief appearances this year with 10 saves. Wood has achieved a 3-3 record while holding opposing hitters to a .220 batting average and posting a 3.28 ERA. He has tossed 82.1 innings, given up 66 base hits, fanned 84 and issued 32 walks. |
