5 Straight Wins for Rangers
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels.
The Texas Rangers topped the Los Angeles Angels, 6-4, with designated hitter Yordan Alvarez playing a big role. Alvarez went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 for the Rangers in the win. Texas reliever Marc Church picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Zach Eflin shouldered the loss. Andres Munoz finished to wrap up his 13th save.
Texas used the timely hitting of Adley Rutschman to capture the win. The catcher socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"The vibe's good," said Texas manager Glen Golden. "We've got to keep it going."
Texas has a 5-game win streak, while Los Angeles has lost 3 in a row.
