New York starter Lance McCullers Jr. had a strong outing against the Houston Astros at Citi Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. With the win, New York raised its record to 58-58.

In the bottom of the sixth, New York center fielder Mike Trout gave his team the lead. With two out and a runner on 1st, Kiiiid hit his 29th home run of the year. Houston pitcher Josh James surrendered it. With that, the Mets jumped in front, 3-2.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McCullers Jr. told the New York Chronicle.
