Rizzo Pops Two Homers in 10-3 Win for Los Angeles
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers topped the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 10-3. Leading the way was first baseman Anthony Rizzo. Rizzo was 2-3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Dodgers. Dustin May, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 4-4. With the win, the Dodgers improved to 77-46.
Rizzo made an early impact for Los Angeles when he stroked his 15th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Dodgers on top, 7-0.
Rizzo told a Los Angeles Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
