Philadelphia Beats Washington, 5-2
|
Philadelphia left fielder Brandon Lowe helped his team beat the Washington Nationals, 5-2. Lowe, who finished 3rd in the NL in runs with 98 in 2022, went 1 for 1 for the Phillies. David Bednar, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Philadelphia is now 10-5.
Lowe had a timely hit for Philadelphia in the top of the seventh. With Washington trailing 2-1, he turned a 0-1 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 5-2, Philadelphia.
