Twins Rocked By Giants, 11-2
|
The San Francisco Giants defeated the Minnesota Twins, 11-2, at AT&T Park. San Francisco designated hitter Wilmer Flores had a superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice. San Francisco, now 14-8, has played well in the early going.
With San Francisco leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Flores hit a fastball from Bryan Mata for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 5-0.
"This is one game in a long season," said losing manager Nicolas Park. "The sooner we can forget about it, the better."
