The Boston Red Sox got a superb performance from pitcher Cole Ragans, but the Houston Astros still won the game, 4-3. Ragans threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The winner was Houston reliever Joe Jimenez, now 1-0. The loser was Emmanuel Clase. Losses have been rare for the Red Sox, who are now 20-6.

Houston took a 4-3 lead on Johan Rojas's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Rojas hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Emmanuel Clase visibly frustrated.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Rojas said after the game.
