Nationals Pull Even With 7-5 Victory
Atlanta left fielder Austin Riley had a good game, even if his team did not. The Braves dropped a 7-5 decision to Washington at Nationals Park. Riley went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Brayan Bello earned the win for Washington. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 3-0. For Atlanta, now 19-7, wins have been plentiful, losses few.

Jorge Polanco, who finished 4th in the AL in triples with 7 in 2019, aided the Washington cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Polanco told the Washington Daily News.
