Blue Pirates Earn 6-5 Win Versus Braves
The Toronto Blue Pirates and Atlanta Braves obliged fans looking for a good time.

The Toronto Blue Pirates defeated the Atlanta Braves, 6-5, at Rogers Centre today. Leading the charge for Toronto was catcher William Contreras. He was 3-3 with 3 singles and was hit 2 times, while adding 4 RBI. Dillon Tate, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits. Ben Joyce nailed down his 9th save.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Contreras delivered big-time for Toronto, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Lou Trivino. The game-changing hit put the Blue Pirates on top, 6-5.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Contreras said.

With the win, Toronto raised its record to 20-15.
