The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Los Angeles Angels, 7-5, at Dodger Stadium. Brent Rooker, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Ryan Pressly closed it out for his 9th save. Los Angeles's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Rooker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 slider from Moises Lugo, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Dodgers a 7-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Rooker.

In postgame comments to the Los Angeles Times, Rooker said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
