Starting pitcher Ross Stripling was a major factor in the 2-1 Los Angeles Angels triumph over the Minnesota Twins. Rowan Wick closed the door for Los Angeles, picking up his 10th save of the year. The Angels go to 16-28 with the win.

Sal Frelick, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Frelick contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Los Angeles up, 2-0.
