Phillies Reel Off Another Win
The Philadelphia Phillies bested the Washington Nationals by a score of 9-7, with first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. getting the main credit. On the day, Guerrero Jr. went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Phillies. David Bednar recorded the save, his 18th. Philadelphia raised its record to 103-57 with the win.

Philadelphia used the bat of Trea Turner to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Phillies ahead, 7-5. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We maximized our offense today," said Philadelphia skipper Boog Furtado. "That makes everyone's life easier."
