Rangers Rally For 8-6 Win
|
San Francisco designated hitter Aaron Judge had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Judge was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3, even as Texas beat the Giants, 8-6. Texas reliever Colin Poche picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Paul Sewald was tagged with the loss. The first-place Rangers are 34-20.
Texas used a clutch hit from Josh Rojas to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Rangers manager Glen Golden. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
