Santo Domingo Halts Prieto's Hitting Steak Monday, February 5th , 2024 Cesar Prieto's 0-game hitting streak was snapped today at Marlins Park. The 24-year-old Licey Sound Tigers shortstop failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Santo Domingo Capitals, but Licey came out the winner, 5-4. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Cesar," Sound Tigers manager Mario Lisson said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." So far this year in 47 games Prieto is hitting .287 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 30 runs scored. |
