CWL Announces Best Player Award
Sunday, February 11th , 2024
The manager of the Coacalco Lords said he thinks Christian Encarnacion-Strand is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the third baseman's 2023 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Caribbean Winter League Most Valuable Player Award.

His winning campaign featured a .323 batting average and a .376 on-base percentage this year. In 49 games he piled up 62 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 11 home runs, 40 RBIs and 35 runs scored.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 6. Oneil Cruz of the Morella Red Dragons finished second in voting, while Matt McLain of the Santo Domingo Capitals finished third.
