Mariners Alemais Suspended Wednesday, September 7th , 2022 A press release issued by the league stated that Mariners shortstop Stephen Alemais was suspended for "confronting a game official" after yesterday's Seattle-Houston at Minute Maid Park. In the statement the league said, "This is totally unacceptable behavior and will be dealt with harshly." Alemais had a run-in with the home plate umpire during the game and was ejected for vehemently objecting to a third strike. Looking at his stats this year, Alemais has compiled a .200 batting average, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 33 runs. He has played in 105 games and scored 33 runs. |
