Hitting Streak Still Alive for Naylor Tuesday, April 23rd , 2024 Win or lose, Josh Naylor just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Detroit Tigers left fielder went 2-for-5 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 4-3 by the New York Mets at Citi Field. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Josh Naylor flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This year Naylor is hitting .411, produced 16 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 17 times and gotten on base at a .424 rate. |
