Deal: Sanchez for Hentges Tuesday, April 30th , 2024 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the San Diego Padres and the Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a deal that will have 24-year old minor league 2B Julio Carreras, 27-year old 2B Willi Castro, 26-year old LF Jesus Sanchez, and 30-year old minor league RHP Trey Wingenter heading to Pittsburgh in exchange for 27-year old minor league LHP Sam Hentges and 29-year old minor league RHP Hunter Harvey. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. To date, Sanchez has collected 4 hits for a .138 average. He has posted no home runs, scored 0 runs and driven in 0 runs.
