Butto Twirls Brewers to Shutout Win Saturday, May 25th , 2024 Everything clicked on the hill today for Jose Butto as he hurled the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-0 shutout win over the Miami Marlins, limiting them to 3 hits while recording 5 strikeouts and yielding no walks. He overpowered some batters with fastballs and buckled knees with sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," Marlins manager Danny Garrett said. "We just weren't able to get to him." This year Butto has made 10 starts, thrown 51.1 innings, fanned 32 batters and walked 22. His won-lost record is 3-5 with a 5.26 ERA.
