Stiever Skunks New Orleans, 6-0 Thursday, June 22nd , 2023 Jonathan Stiever of the Sacramento River Cats was masterful today, pitching a 5-hit shutout, 6-0, against the New Orleans Baby Cakes. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Sacramento manager Gitana Padilla. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Stiever had 8 strikeouts and 3 walks in the outing.
