Munguia Stretches Hit String to 20 Saturday, September 2nd , 2023 The hitting streak for Tulsa left fielder Ismael Munguia now stands at 20 games, but the Mountaineers dropped today's contest 10-9 to the Pawtucket Red Sox. Munguia went 2-for-5 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Ismael Munguia singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. This season Munguia has 8 home runs and a .317 batting average. |
