Best IL Reliever Named Sunday, October 1st , 2023 The Reliever of the Year goes to the International League reliever who put forward the strongest season. This season, that player was Michel Baez of the Buffalo Bisons, who was above all his peers in 2023. "I just feel like the ball was doing what I wanted it to this year and I was in command most nights out there," he said. "Some days you don't have your best stuff, but I didn't have too many of those days this year." On the season, Baez pitched 41.2 innings, with 54 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.73. He also had 30 saves in 41 relief appearances. He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 24. Brian Glowicki of the Buffalo Bisons finished second in voting, while Nick Margevicius of the Scranton WB RailRiders finished third with 2 first place votes.
