Torreyes Selected IL's Best Player Thursday, October 5th , 2023 Ronald Torreyes of the Buffalo Bisons had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2023. The 31-year-old second baseman put up a .343 average and a .381 on-base percentage, piling up 158 hits, 32 doubles, no triples, 5 home runs, 57 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ivan Castillo of the Durham Bulls finished second in voting, while Vaughn Grissom of the Pawtucket Red Sox finished third with 1 first place vote.
