Melancon Headed for Retirement Sunday, April 28th , 2024 "I've made up my mind to leave baseball," Mark Melancon said. "It's time to move into the second phase of my life." The Memphis reliever announced his retirement today at a press conference, saying it would be his last season. In 214 appearances Melancon boasts a 5-20 career record with a 6.17 ERA. He has been credited with a save 11 times and opponents have a batting average of .307 against him. |
