Brett Baty, the Rochester Red Wings 24-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for International League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 11 hits in 25 at-bats, compiling a .440 average with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. In 19 games this season Baty is batting .257 with 19 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 11 runs and driven in 18. |
