League Gives DeMarco Suspension Wednesday, August 23rd , 2023 The league commissioner has zero tolerance when it comes to touching an umpire. That's the reason Pat DeMarco of the RoughRiders has been given a 4-game suspension. He apparently made too much contact with the home plate umpire while intensely questioning a called strike in a recent game at MGM Park with the Biloxi Shuckers. DeMarco said he would not appeal and would serve his suspension beginning today. This season DeMarco is batting .227 with 14 home runs. His totals include 34 RBIs and 57 runs scored. |
