2023 Top Player Honored By AA

The future looks extremely bright for Marco Luciano. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Double-A.
Luciano has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Double-A Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .289 this year, that's for sure," the third baseman said.
The Midland RockHounds star also put up a .397 on-base percentage this year, with 122 hits, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 25 home runs, 69 RBIs and 70 runs scored.
He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 24. David Hamilton of the El Paso Destroyers finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Michael Chavis of the Reading Fightin Phils finished third with 2 first place votes.
