Veen Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Friday, May 31st , 2024
The Springfield Cardinals fell to the Detroit Sea Turtles in Hammons Field today, even as 22-year-old right fielder Zac Veen upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30 games. Veen finished with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Cardinals from dropping the 5-3 decision.

"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Veen.
Zac Veen grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This season Veen has hit at a .342 clip and produced 17 runs batted in, 1 home run and 30 runs.
