Tortugas Torpedoed by Smeltzer in 7-0 Loss to Portland Sunday, July 30th , 2023 It wasn't easy but Devin Smeltzer made it look that way. Smeltzer silenced the Daytona Tortugas, 7-0, in a Portland 97s triumph at 97s Grove today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Smeltzer said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 6 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said.
