Holland on Fire: 5-for-5 for Stockton Wednesday, June 12th , 2024 The 5th time was not the charm for Will Holland today. The second baseman for the Stockton Ports hit the milestone today at Banner Island Ballpark, but it was the Columbus Hooks that salvaged a 9-7 victory. Holland finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Columbus manager Todd Black said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Holland declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Will Holland hit a two-run home run off Adrian Alcantara in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
