Blue Pirates Teodo Fires No-Hitter Sunday, July 30th , 2023 In a dominant outing, Emiliano Teodo of the Toronto (GCL) Blue Pirates totally silenced the bats of the Boston (GCL) Red Sox, finishing with a no-hitter. In the Blue Pirates' 7-0 victory, Teodo faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 13 strikeouts and 3 walks. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Toronto (GCL) manager Don Wakamatsu said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Marco Yepez told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game. "The Blue Pirates had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Teodo pitched a heck of a ballgame."
