Nelson Pitches Scottsdale to Shutout Victory Thursday, December 21st , 2023 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Glendale Desert Dogs as starter Ryne Nelson shut out the Glendale Desert Dogs 1-0 at Ballpark of Glendale. The Scottsdale pitcher struck out 3 and walked 1 while allowing 6 hits. "Nelson was good but he wasn't flawless," Glendale manager Ignacio Suarez said later. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Scottsdale, but this is on us."
